Graphic Art

On this page, I have extracted a representative work in the following techniques: ink, sketches and lino-cuts. Explore their respective galleries.

Ink Work

I rediscovered India ink in 2019, when I used masking fluid to protect areas you want to keep white.Visit the gallery here.

Sketches

I’ve always loved sketching what was in front of me, or being inspired by a photo, my own or from a magazine, especially when travelling. The drawing below was made in 1979, during a trip to Senegal. Do you see the progresses here?

Lino Cuts

When I discovered the linocuts of Louis Joos, I thought that learning this technique would help me to distribute the shadows better, a difficulty I was experiencing in my sketches. And I loved the technique.
